Bachelors of Science (Elementary Education/ Special Education)
University of North Texas (Denton, TX) 1975
I started my educational career in 1976. Over the years I have taught Special Education, 3-6 grades Reading/Language Arts/Social Studies. 1976- Present
I have been an educator for over 30 years. As a young person I knew the importance of education and knew that I wanted to make a difference in children's lives. I have faced adversity but have chosen to never give up. I was the first African American Homecoming queen for North Texas State University in 1973. I have overcome each challenge and pushed myself to the limits to achieve the most in my life. I am little in stature, but I am a giant in my belief to do all I can to help children become strong and successful citizens.
Education is the best provision for old age.
